Some of you may have noticed some difficulty getting into the site last night. Our server load was going bonkers, so we’ve adjusted some settings to get it under control for the time being.

In addition to those changes, we’ll be upgrading the board in a few days. The upgrade itself will only take a few hours.

Due to the time constraints I have, adjusting all our extras will take 5 - 7 days in top of that. I just don’t have the time to sit and do it in one marathon session.

Because of this, all of our boards except the post count protected ones will be made public for those 5 - 7 days, during which time we/I will be resetting our subscription perks and making some other changes.

Post protected boards will simply be closed during that time. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes, however, it is the best solution we can come up with short-term.

I am going to start the upgrade sometime between tonight and tomorrow night, so if you find the board temporarily closed or inaccessible, that is probably the reason.

As you know, we’re still finding out feet here over at The Alt Bazaar. Thank you for bearing with us while we do so!

Yesterday I had a tiny quirk come up with how some of our settings were, well, set. Up until now you had to pay for your transaction when you made it (so you were paying site fees at the time of listing, etc..). This morning we’re switched over to “account mode” which operates more like eBay where you run a tab for the month and pay at the end.

Right now we have a 20$USD limit for your tab, but we are willing to raise it if the low limit causes problems. The minimum invoice value is 5$USD, so you don’t have to pay your tab until it is at least 5$. Good deal!

If anyone has any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. If I can’t answer right away, I’ll ask someone who can.
