Hola Muchachas….

This months letter has proven difficult to write. We’ve had so much tragedy in the past few months, we actually put off the letter in the hopes of some new fabulous news! Well, we’re bursting with stuff to say, so we can’t put it off any longer.

In case you haven’t logged on in a while, please do now, we need positive wishes for a few of our cherished members and their babies. We will be holding a candlelight vigil every evening for the month of October, to remember Besha’s baby boy Jeremy and Ren’s baby boy Gavin, as they passed on very recently. We also need healthy vibes for our dear Raven and her girly Goblins. Her boy Goblin Ronin saved a life, but unfortunately lost his own battle.

Good news? Well, we are running a little low, but here’s the skinny…

MissD had two gorgeous twins in September, Olivia might be getting new boobies soon, Winter is not going to Oaxaca (who the fuck can pronounce that anyway??) BUT that’s a good thing b/c we don’t want her to have to kick some Oaxaca-on ass while she’s there, so she’s stickin’ to Mexico City instead, let’s hope she comes back to us, lucky lady! Amanda had some surgery to help fix her thyroid (fix it, they got rid of it!) and that went supa-fantastic, Jenn is going back to the land of hurricanes, Sarah is ready to pop that FangFang out! and Natica is kicking life in the balls, you can’t get much better than that!

We have so many posting whores, I can’t even list them all, but congratulations to them all! We love to see so many mamas on at all hours of the day and night reading and writing and getting and lending support to those who need it.

We’ve gotten some very nice notes lately letting us know how much the board means to you all. We love that we can offer a place that isn’t catty (and if it is, it isn’t for long) or judgmental. A place that we all feel at home, even though we aren’t all the same cookie cutter mamas. It wouldn’t exist without you guys!!

We also want to thank you girls for being so incredibly supportive these last few weeks towards our moms in crisis…it is you guys that make Punkymoms such an awesome and loving community.

During the weeks leading up to November 1st, you will be able to fill out this form (http://punkymomsforum.com/forms/use/namechange/form1.html) to request a name change! You will be required to post a new intro with your new name before you can do anything else on the board. Jenn will be doing the name changes, and will email you when she’s done with your username. We’ll need your current name, email address, and three choices for a username. We will do our best to give you your top choice, but we do have over 2000 registered members now.

It’s that time of year again Punky Moms! Even thought we’ve switched to a new public list swap format, Jenn is running a secret winter season swap. We ran one last year, and it was mostly successful. This year I hope we’ve ironed out the bugs and no one gets left out.
